Hey Everyone!!

For those that don’t know me, I am Carrie; wife, mom, owner & baker of this crazy adventure. I have been baking for close to 13 years. Initially it started as a way to make our daughters birthday cakes. Being a young married couple, money was tight and if you know me 😉 I love to go over board with a good theme so I needed ways to keep things within budget. It progressed into making things for friends and family and seemed to build from there. I absolutely believe baking is my love language. ♥️ Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone love any of my treats or cakes I’ve made. It makes my heart so happy.

The name Sweet Delta means so much to me. Not only does Delta have a numeral meaning of 4, to symbolize our little family, but for those that do not know; I was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. It’s where my family still resides and where a piece of my heart will always be.

The Delta is where I was taught the true meaning of family and hard work. Its where I got to experience family dinners, fellowship and recipes being shared and handed down from generation to generation. It’s where I saw my Mother and Father work hard to provide for our family and teach us what it takes to never give up fighting for what you want in life.

The Delta is flat land, brown water, country living, and traditions. Its blues, art, and farmland as far as you can see. It’s where everyone knows you and would drop everything to help a neighbor.

The Delta is my heart. I wanted to symbolize a part of my roots in this new transition and represent this period of change in mine and my family’s lives. I hope to be able to show and share with my babies a fraction of what I’ve learned from my years spent in the Delta…and to share that with all of you as well. ♥️
